There is that special someone in each of our lives. For me, this person is a hero that has preserved through the good and bad. My memories of her are all great. She is a women full of life. From her, I have learned strength and preserverance. For those of you who know my family, I am sure that you know who I am referring to, my Grandma. She suffers from a severe case of rheumatiod arthritis. For years, I have watched her struggle with the disease and deal with the pain and hardships only to overcome obstacle after obstacle. Despite the disease she has worked circles around me for years. Whether in the flower beds or redoing that corner cabinet that she and I did together, she was always strong and very seldom complained. With this said, I have decided to participate in the upcoming Jingle Bell Run/Walk for Arthritis in Jackson Tn in honor of my grandmother. The walk/run will be held December 6, 2008. I have set my goal at $1000. This is my first year to get involved but I have a strong desire to help raise awarness and forward research.
